Truck Brake Inspection System

truck

IMC has developed a system to inspect heavy vehicle brakes, based on thermal imaging technologies. This system aims to reduce the risk of brake failure, which typically relies on infrequent and costly manual inspections of braking systems for defects, by providing automated detection of high-risk vehicles.

IMC's system uses thermal imaging cameras to automatically monitor the underside of heavy vehicles. This can be instrumental in improving both the efficiency and effectiveness of brake inspections, by significantly increasing both the number of heavy vehicles that can be inspected and the frequency of the inspections.

The system is being used by authorities to assist compliance officers with mandatory vehicle inspections. It is also being utilised by fleet managers to provide predictive diagnostics, keeping vehicles on the road.
